Our USC University LA Memorial Coliseum University Series Story & Inspiration:

Renowned for its prestigious creative programs. The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is a multi-purpose stadium in Los Angeles, California's Exposition Park area. The Coliseum, designed as a symbol of civic pride, was commissioned in 1921 as a tribute to World War I veterans from Los Angeles. It was completed in 1923 and will become the first stadium in history to hold the Summer Olympics three times when it hosts the Summer Olympics in 2028; it previously held the Summer Olympics in 1932 and 1984. On July 27, 1984, a day before the opening ceremony of the 1984 Summer Olympics, it was declared a National Historic Landmark. Wow! Exalted USC.

When we talk about USC, we are alluding to the home of the USC Trojans. The stadium is home to the University of Southern California (USC) Trojans of the Pac-12 Conference and the LA Giltinis of Major League Rugby (MLR). In January 2018, USC, which operates and manages the Coliseum, received United Airlines name rights. Following the Coliseum Commission's concerns, the airline became the title sponsor of the playing field, naming it United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Coliseum is owned by the State of California's Sixth District Agricultural Association, Los Angeles County, and the city of Los Angeles, and is managed and operated by the University of Southern California's Auxiliary Services Department. Wow!

USC began a Major renovation of the stadium in 2018, which included replacing the seating and addition of luxury boxes and club suites, but reduced the seating capacity to 77,500. The $315 million project was completed in time for the 2019 football season and was the stadium's first Major upgrade in twenty years.

The Coliseum is the home stadium of the USC Trojans football team. The Majority of USC's regular home games, particularly the alternating matchups with rivals UCLA and Notre Dame, are sold out. The Coliseum's current official capacity is 77,500, with 42 suites, 1,100 club seats, 24 loge boxes, and a 500-person rooftop terrace. Exciting games indeed for the Trojans!
